Who should get vaccinated against the flu and COVID-19?

Everyone aged six months and older should be vaccinated to protect those at higher risk of developing complications. These include:

people 65 and over;
people 6 months and older with certain chronic diseases;
people of all ages living in long-term care facilities;
pregnant women;
children 6 months to 5 years of age.

In addition, the following people have a greater chance of infecting people with a high risk of complications, and should be vaccinated:

people living in the same home as someone with a high risk of complications;
people who live close to caregivers of people living with a high risk of complications;
people living in the same home as an infant aged 6 months or under;
healthcare workers.
