Once again this year, it is with great pleasure that Jean Coutu joins forces with the Véro & Louis Foundation for the Foundation's socks campaign.
The mission of the Véro & Louis Foundation, which is to create adapted long-term Homes for autistic people aged 21 and over, with or without intellectual disabilities, could not be accomplished without the contribution of generous donors.
Contribute to the Foundation's major project to build Véro & Louis homes across Quebec by purchasing an assortment of Les chaussettes de la Fondation for $25 per set. Two adult-sized trios are available (women's size 6-10 or men's size 6-12). You can buy them in all participating Jean Coutu stores and also on the Foundation's online shop at https://fondationverolouis.com.
Despite crying needs, services for autistic adults over the age of 21 are limited. Some Quebec families have to wait as long as 11 years to access housing services. It is this need that the Véro & Louis Foundation seeks to meet by offering quality long-term accommodation and daily educational support to encourage its residents to flourish.
The creation of the Véro & Louis Homes is a social innovation project supported by several research projects. Not only is the physical environment adapted to the needs of autistic people, but individualized programming is also offered on a daily basis to help residents develop their autonomy and potential.
Three years after opening of the first Véro & Louis Home in Varennes, the Véro & Louis Foundation has announced the forthcoming creation of two new Véro & Louis Homes, one in Victoriaville and the other one in St-Jerôme.
