Tips and secrets for flawless makeup
Got a last-minute 5-7 event after work? No problem! In just five minutes, you can give your eyes a little oomph with two products that slip easily into your purse!
To give your eyes a little boost, apply a line of brown water-resistant pencil along your upper lashes using a bevelled brush. You’ll get a smokey look, quickly and easily and with long-lasting hold from the water-resistant pencil. To give your eyes that wide-open look, draw the lines upward, starting from the outside corners of your eyes. Repeat this step with your lower lids, taking care to stay close to the lashes to avoid creating the impression of dark circles.
If you’re looking for even more intensity, swap the brown pencil for a black one and draw a fine line on the upper eyelid before using your brush to apply more. You can even use a liquid liner as a final touch and apply it to the very inside of the eyelid. A smouldering look is guaranteed!
If your eyes have a tendency to have bags or dark circles or your eyelids are a bit droopy, it’s best to only apply makeup to the upper eyelids.
Your pencil lines should be suited to your eye shape. If your eyes are round in shape, elongate them by starting your line at the centre of the eyelid and continuing to the exterior. If they’re more almond-shaped, draw along the entire length of the eyelid but without drawing the line too long to create some roundness.
