Tips and secrets for flawless makeup
Rushed in the morning? Makeup artist Virginie Vandelac reveals the secrets to subtly refining your look in no time!
Using a medium-sized rounded brush, apply beige eye shadow to your upper eyelid, making sure to blend it well. The goal is to create a light, diffuse brightness to the eye. To highlight the lower eyelid, use a smaller rounded brush to apply the same eye shadow along the lash line.
Next, add texture and depth to your look with a slightly darker shade. Using the same small rounded brush, apply the shadow along the edge of the upper lashes and to the outside corner of the lower eyelid.

Never apply shadow by dabbing! Use more of a back-and-forth movement without lifting the brush. This way, the colours will be evenly applied and, if necessary, will blend into one another seamlessly.
To avoid applying too much pigment all at once, first tap the brush on the back of your hand to remove any excess. Otherwise, the thickness will look unnatural.
The rule to follow: the larger the brush, the more diffuse and misty the result. If you want a translucent look for your eyes, don’t hesitate to use the same brush you use for blush. However, if you want a defined and opaque look, use a straight, dense brush.
