Khaki smoky eyes, discreetly highlighted lips… Follow these steps to recreate the look designed by our makeup artist Cynthia Dulude, using 100% vegan products!
1. Start with the eyes — after all, you don't want to stain your foundation when little clumps of eye shadow fall off the brush!
- After applying a base layer of a creamy concealer, use a medium brush to apply a mustardy yellow blush into the creases of your eyelids and onto your brow bones.
- Then, with a flat brush, spread khaki over the entire lid and along your lower lashes.
- Use your index finger to apply a touch of golden blush to the center of your eyelid, creating a focal point of light.
- Line the roots of your upper lashes with black liner and then curl the line slightly upwards to create a subtle cat-eye effect. It’s the ideal touch to intensify your look!
- Finally, enhance your eyebrows using a fine-point pencil, which will help you follow your hairline with small, precise strokes.
Pro tip:
Before applying the gold blush, spray on a little matte finishing formula to fix your look in place. You'll get maximum shine and hold!
2. Work your complexion
- Using your fingertips, spread a unifying layer of foundation to the areas with dilated pores and visible fine lines.
- Apply a few drops of liquid foundation (not too many!) to your cheekbones and to the centre of your forehead, then blend it in to your entire face.
- Pat a small amount of concealer under your eyes.
- Use loose powder to fix the foundation then add a touch of bronzer to your cheekbones using strokes that move upwards and backwards to your ears. A few quick finishing spritzes and you’re done!
3. Colour your lips with a liquid, pink-beige formula. It’s the ideal shade to make the khaki pop!
