The golden rule of renowned makeup artists? Each product has its own makeup brush. Here are six must-haves for your beauty kit.
1
A powder brush
With its wide, round shape that adapts to every face and allows you to obtain a perfect finish, this is THE most-used brush. Ideal for applying a layer of powder and unifying the complexion.
Tip: Avoid brushes that are too big and too thick. They are imprecise and give a “mask” effect that’s not very pretty.
2
A blush brush
Along with the powder brush, this is definitely one of the most popular brushes! It allows you to enhance your complexion by applying blush accurately. Ideal for an instant radiant complexion.
Tip: To sculpt the face, start at the top of the cheekbone and move up toward the temples following the curve of the cheek.
3
A foundation brush
A must-have for a flawless complexion, this brush allows you to easily apply foundation and liquid tinted creams. Rounded end + long bristles = uniform application guaranteed!
Tip: For an impeccable complexion, apply the product using small circular motions.
4
An eye shadow brush
There’s every kind imaginable! If you don’t want to overload your beauty kit, opt for two essentials: a bevelled brush, for applying the eye shadow on eyelids and brows, and a blending brush, for applying, layering and blending eye shadows and other correctors.
Tip: Do you love eye shadow creams? If so, opt for a brush with stiffer synthetic bristles.
5
A lip brush
Its short, pointed bristles allow you to redefine the contours of the mouth, apply just the right amount of lipstick, and increase or reduce the size of lips as desired.
Tip: Placing a little powder on your lips before applying will guarantee long-lasting hold!

A fan brush
While you may adore its peacock tail shape, you may not always be sure what it’s used for. And yet the fan brush is a must-have! It allows you to give your makeup a final touch by sweeping away excess powder and drops of makeup on your cheeks.
Tip: Use it to apply a thin coat of powder or add light spots on your cheekbones.
