It’s now (finally!) easy to get the voluminous hairstyles recently worn by models on international runways. Here’s how to achieve this sexy, seductive look in five steps.
1
Pick the right shampoo
When you want extra voluminous hair that will make heads turn, you first have to step in the shower. Choose a light shampoo that will remove excess sebum and any residue left from styling products. But make sure to pick a silicone-free shampoo. Silicone is great for making your hair shine, but it can weigh it down and shorten the life of your hairstyle.
We suggest: Pantene Pro-V Aqualight shampoo
2
Use a root lift spray
It’s a well-known fact that volume starts at the root. To lift your hair up and get movement that starts at its base, use a root lift spray. In addition to hydrating your hair at its core, it will lift it and provide the necessary volume to achieve an enviable hairstyle. Use the spray on damp hair that has been slightly towelled off and then reach for your blow dryer.

3
Dry your hair strategically
To get stunning volume, dry your hair with your head upside down. The heat from the blow dryer will fix your locks in this position so once you’ve gone back to your upright position, your roots will stay raised. When it comes to your tips, roll your hair around a large round brush and use hot air on it. Repeat on your entire head.

4
Use hair rollers
Before your hair cools off completely, roll your locks around Velcro or foam hair rollers to make it slightly wavy. To make things easier when you’re short on time, you can use the “cold air” setting on your blow dryer to create your curls and cool them down quicker. Once the wait is over, take out the rollers. Your locks should be bouncy and slightly wavy.
We suggest: Goody Medium Velcro Rollers

Give long life to your hairstyle!
You’ve now got the hairstyle of a fashion model! The only thing left is to use a veil of fixing spray all over your head. You can also do this with your head upside down to lift the roots.
