We’re already dreaming about happy hour on a sunny terrace with our friends. On our feet? Pretty sandals and, most importantly, outstanding nail polish. Here are our favourite combinations.
Summer palette: which shade to choose?
Tangerine
As your manicure takes on a summer look, red gives way to a palette of orange. Swap the classic scarlet red for warmer, sun-kissed shades like flashy orange, rust or coral.
Lilac
Purple is the Pantone colour of 2018, making it very popular all year round. For spring, choose a pastel shade that is lighter than the traditional (and quite deep!) Ultra Violet, such as lilac, which looks fabulous with any outfit.
Pastel blue
Blues have been popular for quite some time now. Midnight blue is the new black! This spring, we opt for rich and bright blues ranging from denim blue to silvery blue.
Our suggestions
Trendy manicures: which style should you choose?
Imitation marble
The marbled effect, a nod to the luxurious stone, is carried on to the nails this season for incredibly chic and delicate results. It takes time and a certain amount of skill, so do not hesitate to ask a professional.
Mismatched nails
Not sure which shade of polish to choose? Choose them all! To create a harmonious effect, the rule to follow is to use five different shades – one for each nail of the hand – within the same colour palette. For example, choose five pink polishes, ranging from ballerina pink to fuchsia, or five purple polishes, ranging from lilac to purple.
A new take on the French manicure
Simply replace the usual white line at the end of the nail with a more conspicuous colour, such as blue or pink, or even metallic hues. A simple way to add a touch of spring to this classic!
Glittering nails
This season, sparkle is in.... right to the tip of your fingers! Glitter, pearlescent or holographic, our nails shine brightly, no matter their colour. Choose a full manicure or, for a more discreet effect, create an accent by painting one or two nails on each hand.
